Draft

Create a clear plan of action before crafting your presentation

MAKE A LIST of the basic information you need to include

Remember to include information that will help you:

  • Take the audience on a journey about your thought process to reach the solution. What did you do to achieve the result? What went well? What was challenging? Did you have to pivot?  → this is when you should include storytelling.

  • Make sure your audience finishes your presentation with a clear idea of what your solution IS → how does it work? Why is it different from what is already out there?

ORGANISE your information

Activity:

  1. Organise your info in headlines.

  2. Write each headline on a sticky note.

  3. Shuffle and move the sticky notes around until they make sense. Add more sticky notes as needed to fill in information gaps.

Remember that CURIOSITY is a great tool to keep people engaged. Curiosity relies on information gaps to attract attention, so use them wisely!

Storyboards:

Storyboarding is another visual method of organising your information.

Decide how you want to STRUCTURE YOUR PRESENTATION

There are many ways in which you can organise the information. Here are some links and resources to help you decide how you can structure your presentations:

  • PITCH

This is the most well-known information structure. We have created a tool to help organise the information of your pitch: Eidos' Pitch Design Toolkit

  • HOW WILL YOU VISUALISE YOUR SOLUTIONS?

Prototype (Show, Don't Tell)Whether your solution is a product, a service, or an event, a prototype can help demonstrate how your solution works in real life with real people.

Here are some tools to help you prototype your solution:
